Irish Tourist Association Topographical and General Survey

These were compiled during the 1940s by the Irish Tourist Association, a forerunner to Bord Fáilte. While the survey was undertaken to determine the tourist amenities and facilities of a location, this survey also provides interesting details about historical sites, antiquities and local customs. We have 95 files in our collection which comprise villages and towns from across the county from Adrigole to Youghal.

This is an example of one of the parishes from our Irish Tourist Association Topographical and General Survey File Collection.
