Historian and author Joseph EA Connell Jnr’s has written a new book An Unfinished Republic De Valera and the Politics of Negotiation 1916-1922.
Ahead of its publication in October, Joe will talk about de Valera’s development as a negotiator during these years in the Local Studies Library on Floor 2 of the County Library Building on Carrigrohane Road at 3pm on Thursday 24th September.
He has written extensively on this period in Irish history, including the books Who’s Who in the Dublin Rising, Michael Collins Dublin 1916-1922 and Shadow War.
