The Murray family were from Courtbrack near Blarney. The family were very involved in local volunteer/ IRA and Cumann na mBan groups. This book illustrates their unique story.

‘Jeffers of Bandon: a history’ by Isla Jeffers

This book documents the history of the Jeffers family who were business owners from Bandon in West Cork. The book illustrates the family’s story from the nineteenth century to the present day.

‘Murder most local: historic murders of West Cork’ by Peter O’Shea

Following on from previous publications such as books on the historic murders of North Cork and also East Cork, this book provides detailed information on 39 historical murders in the West Cork area from the early 1800s to the early 20th century.

‘Bantry through the centuries’ by Colum Hourihane

This two-volume compilation details the social and economic history of Bantry town, as well as providing a rich portrait of the town’s heritage through the use of numerous historical photographs.
